SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of Utah men's tennis team was challenged on Friday by No. 66 Yale. The meet ended in a 4-3 loss for Utah.
The Utes were able to gain the doubles point by the excellent play at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles spots. Utah senior Nick Coutts beat out his opponent at No. 3 singles for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 win. Earning the last point for the Utes was freshman Wes Hancock. Playing at the No. 5 singles spot, Hancock defeated his opponent in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
