SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis team had their second sweep of the season at Eccles Tennis Center against the University of Nevada for a 7-0 win. After playing three games in a row, the team continues to succeed. Jason Yap returned to singles play, posting a 6-4, 6-3 win over Tibor Penzes from Nevada.
"We were happy to have Jason back out in the singles line up. He can be a real difference maker for this team when he is healthy and playing well," says assistant coach Graeme Cox. "Also Ryan put in brave effort today playing at less than 100%."
Quote from Assistant Coach Graeme Cox:
"It is tough to play three matches in three days. I hope that the team learned from this weekend because we have to do it again three more times this year," says Cox. "It takes a lot of emotional will power to get up for the third match and your preparation is everything."
