SALT LAKE CITY - The ITA released their first of two regional rankings today in the fall edition for the Mountain Region. The University of Utah men's tennis team had three players make the regional rankings for the fall: Zach Ganger (Jr.), Wes Hancock (So.), and Jason Smits (Fr.).
Ganger placed No. 2 in the region under Luke Shields of Boise State. Hancock was ranked No. 11, and Smits was ranked No. 26 in singles. Ganger and Smits were also ranked No. 6 in the doubles rankings for the fall.
Last year Ganger ended the season ranked No. 11 in the region for singles, and was ranked No.2 in doubles with partner --at the time-- Nick Coutts.
