THIS WEEK The Utah Utes will use this next week off to tie up any loose ends, as they get ready for the NCAA Championships in Albuquerque N.M.
LAST WEEK The Utes hosted the MWC Championships, where they placed 6th of 9 teams with a total of 156 points.
UTE NOTES At the MWC Championships the Utes were led by freshman Alyssa Abbott who placed 22nd with a time of 22:48.2. The rest of the Utes were not far behind Abbott, Rebecca Mackelprang placed 27th with a time of 22:53.3. Also scoring for the Utes were Stephanie Skoreyko (32nd, 23:09.1), Lauren Endersen (36th, 23:28.7) and Kellie Anderson (39th, 23:41.9).
KEPLER'S QUOTES "This week we are focusing on staying sharp," Coach Kyle Kepler said, "Were training enough to maintain fitness but no more than we need to."
Kepler finishes with, "Our young group will help us in the long run, they will run hard and gain valuable experience for upcoming seasons."
NEXT WEEK The University of Utah will participate in the 2006 NCAA Championships on Nov. 11. The races are held in Albuquerque, N.M. and will start at 11 a.m.
