THIS WEEK The Utes have a week off as they prepare for their trip to the Chili Pepper Invitational.
LAST WEEK The Utes hosted thier first home meet of the season on Friday. They placed third with a total of 60 points at the Utah Fall Twilight located at Rose Park Golf Course.
UTE NOTES Rebecca Mackelprang led the Utes in the 6k race and last Friday, placing 5th with a time of 22:54. Not far behind were Stephanie Skoreyko (12th, 23:47), Chelsea DiGrazia (13th, 23:49), and Kellie Anderson (14th, 23:54). Also scoring for the Utes was Alyssa Abbott (16th), Lauren Endersen (19th), and Janette Ern (27th).
KEPLER'S QUOTES "The key this week is to get over our illnesses and back to 100%." coach Kyle Kepler states, "I am pleased with the training, we are just trying to prepare for the Chili Pepper Invitational at Arkansas. next week."
"I was happy with our home meet last week and preparations are going well for the Championships in three weeks." Kepler ends with, "We are in good shape and it's important to push the last few weeks to get better overall, and improve the program."
NEXT WEEK Utes will travel to Fayetteville, Ark. for the 18th annual Chili Pepper Invitational on Sat. Oct. 14, at 10 a.m.
