Pacific Palisades, Calif. - Elizabeth Ferris of the University of Utah women's tennis team will move into the consolation bracket for the qualifying rounds in the Riviera ITA All-American Championships after a loss to Christina Visico (6-4, 6-3) in the Round of 64 on Tuesday.
No. 71 Ferris took on No. 56 Visico from the University of California on Tuesday in the Round of 64. The Ute fought hard, but couldn't hold the Golden Bear down. Visico walked away with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Ferris.
Ferris played in the first round of the consolation bracket against No. 66 Brook Buck of Notre Dame. The two battled through two sets with Ferris picking up the 6-2, 6-4 win. The Ute will move on to play No. 69 Marianne Baker on Wednesday at 1:30 PT.
