San Diego, Calif. - The University of Utah men's tennis team took care of the Loyola Lions 4-3 yesterday at a neutral site on the road.
The Utes got off to a good start when they swept the Lions in doubles.
The singles wins were not as decisive, as five of the six matches went to three sets. Utah managed to take the No. 2, 3, and 6 singles and clinch the win. At No. 2, Zach Ganger battled back to beat Beau Berglund (0-6, 6-2, 7-5). Miron Mann downed Nico Terrien (6-4, 6-2) while Jason Yap gutted in out three sets for a (6-2, 5-7, 6-4) victory over Micahel Chan.
Today the men's tennis team faces some tough competition as it takes on No. 45 San Diego.
