Lawrence, Kan. - The University of Utah's women's tennis team finished it's weekend on the road with a 5-2 win over Kansas.
Utah picked up only one win in the doubles and fell behind the Jayhawks 1-0. At No. 2, the duo of Whitney Eber and Emily Kwok defeated Christine Skoda and Ashley Filberth (8-4).
The Utes' success in the singles lead them to an overall victory. Playing at No. 1, Liz Ferris blasted past Skoda (6-2, 6-4). At No. 2, Emily Kwok picked up another point for Utah with a (6-4, 6-2) win over Brittany Brown. Cheyenne Reveche continued by defeating Lauren Hommel in three sets at No. 4 (6-4, 4-6, 6-3). Allison Hansen knocked off Filberth (6-3, 6-3) at No. 5. At No. 6, Jen Wencel dispatched her opponent, Anna Jackson in three sets (6-1, 0-6, 6-0).
The women's tennis team hits the courts again on Mar. 11, when they matchup against conference rival BYU.
