Salt Lake City - The University of Utah women's tennis team concluded the weekend with a 4-3 win over UTEP.
Utah won two of three doubles contests to get the one point lead. At No. 1, Liz Ferris and Allison Hansen topped Kendall Exelby and Weronika Bloczynska (8-5). Cinthia Saucedo and Cheyenne Reveche teamed up at No. 3 to defeat Danielle King and Tea Spirta (8-6).
Then the Utes picked up three singles points. Playing at the No. 1 spot, Ferris downed Exelby (6-2, 6-3) and Whitney Eber fought it out three sets to beat Spirta (4-6, 6-2, 6-0) at No. 2. Reveche picked up the final win (6-1, 6-4) over Teri Wilkerson at the No. 4 spot.
Head Coach Megan Dorny Comments on the match. "Our team played great for the third day in a row. The top of our lineup performed really well today."
