Salt Lake City - The women's tennis team started the first day of the Wilson/ITA Central Regional Tournament on Wednesday at the Eccles Tennis Center. Karine Bourdages, a freshman, played in the qualifying matches until the round of 16. She was defeated by seeded player Rachael Sackmaster from University of Denver; 6-1, 1-6, 10-6. Cheyenne Reveche, a sophomore also competed until the round of 16. She was defeated by seeded player Marisa Mechem from University of Denver; 5-7, 6-0, 10-7.
The Wilson/ITA Central Regional Tournament continues through Sunday at the Eccles Tennis Center. The main draw competition for singles and doubles starts Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
