Conferences wins for Weber State have been over Montana State 7-0 and Eastern Washington 6-1. Robertina Marcu and Briana Beauchene have both been honoroed as Big Sky Players of the Week this season.
The University of Portland has a 7-12 mark on the season. Head Coach Susie Campbell-Gross leads the Pilots, who are part of the West Coast Conference. Portland is 2-1 in the conference with victories over Gonzaga 7-0 and San Francisco 5-2.
QUOTING HEAD COACH Megan Dorny: "After a series of tough losses for our team where we have really been battling for some points, we look forward to playing Weber St. and U. of Portland this weekend. Even in the midst of changes to our doubles line-up and semi-permanent changes to the composition of our team (season-ending injuries to Hansen and Young), the coaches feel like these are two matches we can be dominant in if we go out and play the way we are capable of as a team...confident, consistent, and willing to take calculated risks."
