Salt Lake City - The University of Utah men's tennis team travels to Las Vegas, Nev., to compete in the ITA Regional VII Championships. The tournament takes place Oct. 20-23.
A singles main draw and qualifying rounds will be played Wednesday, Oct. 20 and Thursday, Oct. 21. The doubles main draw is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 22.
Draws for the tournament have not yet been determined.
Last week the Utes hosted the Utah Invitational. Sophomore Miron Mann and freshman Zach Ganger won the doubles finals defeating Colorado State's Peter Bjork and Chad Tsuda 8-6.
Utah also fared well in singles play. Mann and Ganger played each other in the semifinals. Ganger came out on top in the close match (7-6(4), 6-4) and advanced to the finals. He fell (7-6(6), 7-5) to Nils Klemman of Boise State.
