SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's tennis team met their second-straight ranked conference opponent today, this time falling to number 28 San Diego State. The Utes fall to 4-11 on the season with the loss.
In singles action, Maria Svensson captured the lone point for the Utes, defeated Sarah Sansom 6-1, 6-3 in no. six singles. "I executed really well today," Svensson said after the match. "It felt great to get the win." In other singles action, Allison Hansen had a close face-off with Patricia Graf in number five singles, but coming short in a 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) loss.
