FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- The University of Utah women's tennis team fell 4-3 to the Colorado State Rams today, marking the second conference match that the Utes have been defeated by the same score this season. With the loss, the Utes are 4-12 on the year, 0-5 in the Mountain West, and have four matches left on the year.
Utah earned all three points in singles play, starting with Sheri Esrock's three set win over Dasha Zhurin in number two singles, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3. In no. 5 singles, Allison Hansen defeted Jessica Jones 7-6 (6), 6-3, and in no. six singles, Maria Svensson defeated Tatyana Ugrorich 6-3, 6-2.
The Utes will travel to take on Wyoming tomorrow, and then return home to meet Portland State on Monday the 14th.
