March 21, 2003 - LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The University of Utah men's tennis team continued their second road trip to California of the season, this time falling to Loyola Marymount 5-2. With the loss, the Utes fall back to below .500 at 7-8 on the season.
The Utes started off well, grabbing the doubles point as Roeland Brateanu and Nick Coutts defeated Leo Graeubig and Mike Wojnarowicz 9-8 and Nick Poulson and Tomasz Grzyb defeated Jaako Asuja and Robert Kennedy 8-4.
Utah was unable to make a move in the singles matches, however, until Kaisorn Chaichana's 4-6, 6-2, 10-4 defeat of Mike Chan in no. six singles.
