UTE NOTES:
The meet will mark the beginning of the 2003-04 schedule for the Utes. Last season the women finished 10-8 (5-2 in conference), which was the best season in school history and concluded with a fourth-place finish at the Mountain West Conference Championships. The men's team finished 5-8 (1-4 in conference) and placed fifth at the MWC Championships.
QUOTING HEAD COACH Michael Litzinger:
"I extremely pleased to be honoring a true Utah coaching legend like Don by naming this event after him. He touched many swimmers lives, and an event like this to kick off the collegiate season fits perfectly."
"Racing BYU is always exciting. The relay format should make things ultra competitive and will create a great environment to start the year."
