LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The University of Utah men's tennis team fell to the number three ranked USC Trojans on Tues., Mar. 12. Utah falls to 8-6 on the year and finishes 0-2 on their road trip. Utah will return home to face Cal State Sacramento on Fri., Mar. 15 at the Eccles Tennis Center.
In singles, USC's Ryan Moore defeated Corrie Scheepers (6-1, 6-4) at the one position. At the two, USC's Prakash Amritraj downed Nik Yip (6-1, 7-5). The Trojans' Andrew Park beat Daniel Carlsson (6-1, 7-5) at the three. USC's Nick Rainey defeated Tyler Poulson (6-2, 6-2), The Trojans' Ruben Torress downed Tobias Tangberg (6-1, 6-2) and USC's Damien Spizzo beat Daniel Lohff (6-4, 6-1).
In doubles The Trojans' Rainey/Moore defeated Mercier/Yip (8-5) at the one. USC's Amritraj/Spizzo downed Carlsson/Poulsen (8-6) and USC's Sullivan/Torres beat Scheepers/Lohff (8-2).
