Ute Women's Tennis Wraps Up Competition At ITA Regionals

OMAHA, NEB. - The University of Utah Women's Tennis team took four players to the ITA Central Regionals Nov. 2-5. Junior Irini Kotoglou advanced to the second round of the main draw, while sophomore Cassie Kasteler made it to the quarterfinals in the consolation bracket.
Kotoglou lost to top-seeded Petra Sedlmajerova of Kansas State, 6-2, 6-4. Kasteler beat Annalie Van Den Heever from Wichita State, 6-2, 6-1, before falling to Weber State's Kim Sen, 5-7, 6-3, 1-0(5). Sophomore Frida Kareld dropped her first round in the consolation bracket, 7-5, 6-3 to Lindsey Marvel of New Mexico.
