SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah Men's tennis team dropped their record to 4-8 by losing to the University of San Diego 4-3. Utah's No. 1 seeded Ben Coates defeated Mattias Tangeford, 4-6, 7-5, 7-6, while No. 5 seeded Adam Eke ousted Stephen Taylor, 6-4, 7-5.
In doubles play, Coates teamed with Philippe Rodrigue to down Mattias Tangefjord and Stephen Taylor, 8-2 as Ashley Dyer and Nik Yip beat A. Kazarian and B. Carrillo, 8-5.
The Utes next match is March 16 at Southern Claifornia.
