Upcoming Event: Men's Tennis versus Utah Invitational on October 3, 2025

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Utah competed in the eleven team 6th Annual Wathen/Hancock Bulldog Tennis Classic on the weekend of October 9-11. Teams participating were host Fresno State, Cal Poly, Nevada, Utah, San Diego, Washington, Pepperdine, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Boise State and Kent State.
Top finishes were turned in by 6th seeded Ben Coates who advanced to the semi-finals before losing to top seeded Olivier Le Jeune, 6-4, 6-4. After defeating Coates, Le Jeune went on to win the singles championship. Philippe Rodrigue advanced to the third round and Trevor Ferguson finished second in the consolation bracket.
In doubles play, the Utah tandem of Coates and Rodrigue advanced to the fourth round before falling to Taylor and Tangefjord from San Diego.
The next competition for the Utes is the BYU Intercollegiate which runs from October 19-23.
