PROVO, Utah - The University of Utah women's tennis team took only three players to compete at the Brigham Young University Invitational due to injuries.
Number 81 Megan Payne and Linn Ronnberg advanced to the consolation finals at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, while Brooke Wilkinson played for fifth and sixth place. Payne and Ronnberg came away with fourth place finishes after Payne suffered an injury walkover to Pia-Lena Ander of Boise State, and Ronnberg fell 7-6, 6-2 to Renate Stoop of BSU. Wilkinson earned sixth place at No. 3, faltering to BYU's Kim Kelly (score not provided).
