Payne Reaches Semis At All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Megan Payne, the University of Utah's No. 1 singles player and No. 59 in the country, advanced to the consolation semifinals at the 1999 Riviera Women's All-American Tennis Championships.
Payne defeated Baylor's Jahnavi Parekh 6-1, 6-1 in the quarterfinals to advance. Duke's Primi Siripipat ended Payne's run in the semifinals 6-3, 7-5. Payne and the Utes are preparing for the ITA Regional Tournament being held at the Eccles Tennis Center Nov. 3-7.
