Jared Heldt was named Director of Major Gifts for the Crimson Club in March 2023. He is responsible for the development of philanthropic major gifts supporting the 550+ student-athletes of Utah Athletics.
Jared joins the Crimson Club after serving as Director of Development for the Cougar Athletic Fund at Washington State University. While on the Palouse, he focused on major gift fundraising efforts for WSU Athletics’ priorities such as upgrading the football locker room and volleyball court in addition to large capital projects including a new basketball arena, indoor practice facility, and academics & mental health center for WSU student-athletes.
Prior to Washington State, Jared served as a Development Assistant for the Huskers Athletic Fund at the University of Nebraska where he focused on prospect management, data analysis, and donor stewardship for the Huskers Athletic Fund and National Leadership Society. While at Nebraska, he was a member of the Nebraska Spirit Squad as a cheerleader and earned his master’s business degree specializing in intercollegiate athletic administration.
Originally from Cottonwood Heights, Jared earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah where the majored in Business Management at the David Eccles School of Business and was a captain on the Utah Spirit Team. Outside of athletics and academics, Jared was a SAAC representative, served on the MUSS Board, and interned with the Crimson Club.
In his free time, Jared enjoys attending fitness classes, spending time with friends & family, and enjoying the abundance of outdoor recreation the state of Utah has to offer. As a proud alum of “The U”, Jared is thrilled to return home closer to family and support the Utes up close.
