SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Ski Team on Tuesday finalized the signing of Philipp Moosmayer for the 2027 season.
Moosmayer raced in the RMISA at Alaska Fairbanks from 2023-26, where he was a three-time All-American. He was All-RMISA Honorable Mention both in 2025 and '26.
He has made 31 collegiate starts with 15 top-10 finishes. Moosmayer picked up his first collegiate win during the 2025 season, taking the top spot in the 20K freestyle during the RMISA Championships, which doubled as a West region individual title for Moosmayer.
The native of Leutkirch im Allgäu, Germany, made his NCAA Championships debut in 2025. He placed seventh in the men's 7.5K classic and took ninth in the 20K freestyle. This past year during the national meet, he was 11
th in the 7.5K classic before earning All-American status with his seventh-place result in the 20K freestyle mass start.
Moosmayer competed at the FIS Junior World Championships in 2024, highlighted by a 16
th-place finish in the 10K classic. He was part of a relay team for Germany that finished sixth as well.
He competed with TSG Skiläuferzunft Leutkirch prior to college and later qualified for the German National Team.
