SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men's basketball team added depth to its backcourt with the addition of Ohio State transfer Taison Chatman heading into the 2026-27 season.
Chatman, who was the top-ranked player out of Minnesota, comes to SLC after spending the last three years at Ohio State. The Minneapolis, Minn., product sat out his second season with the Buckeyes before returning to the rotation in 2025-26.

- Played in 28 games after missing out the previous season with three starts in 2025-26
- Scored a career-high 14 points at Wisconsin on 4-of-4 shooting from 3-point range
- Led Totino-Grace High School to back-to-back Minnesota 3A state championships (2022-23)
- Was the top-ranked player out of Minnesota
The Minneapolis, Minn., product joins Jackson Holcombe, Styles Clemmons, Zati Loubaki and return missionaries Jaxon Johnson and David Katoa for the 2026-27 campaign.
