IRVING, Texas — Eight Red Rocks earned spots on the Big 12's All-Conference teams for gymnastics,
repeating their dominance from a season ago.
The Big 12 vault, bars, beam, floor, and all-around teams were determined by an individual gymnast's NQS (National Qualifying Score) in each event, while the All-Freshman team was voted on by the Big 12 coaches.
Â
Each category has six spots available, and the Red Rocks placed at least one athlete on each team.
Vault and bars were particularly strong for Utah Gymnastics in 2026 with five athletes making the six-woman All-Big 12 teams.
Â
Â
Avery Neff (9.920 NQS, 1st),
Ella Zirbes (9.910 NQS, 2nd),
Makenna Smith (9.900 NQS, 3rd),
Ashley Glynn (9.890 NQS, 4th) and
Zoe Johnson (9.870 NQS, 5th) earned the nod on vault, while Neff (9.935 NQS, 1st), Zirbes (9.925 NQS, t2nd), and Smith (9.865 NQS, t5th) repeated on bars and were joined by teammates
Ana Padurariu (9.925 NQS, t2nd) and
Abbi Ryssman (9.865 NQS, t5th).
The All-Big 12 beam and floor teams saw three Utes each in them.
Neff (9.925 NQS, 1st),
Camie Winger (9.895 NQS, t3rd), and Ryssman (9.895 NQS, t3rd) all claimed spots on the beam team and Smith (9.925 NQS, t2nd), Zirbes (9.925 NQS, t2nd), and Neff (9.895 NQS, t5th) finished up on floor.
Neff was Utah's lone selection for the All-Big 12 all-around team with a 39.630 NQS that puts her squarely in first place in the Big 12 Conference, and Ryssman was the Red Rocks' lone selection for the All-Freshman team as voted on by Big 12 coaches.
