LOUISVILLE – Redshirt senior
Ryan Stines has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week, the organization announced Wednesday. Stines was one of 10 players selected across all of Division I men's lacrosse and one of three attackmen.
This marks the third time in his career that Stines has been named to the USILA Team of the Week, also doing so during the 2024 and 2023 season. Utah has been represented on the Team of the Week nine times, while Stines is the only Ute to earn the national honor multiple times in their career.
Stines quarterbacked Utah's offense last time out against Merrimack, scoring nine points in the Utes' 17-8 win. The Cary, N.C., native scored five goals and added four assists for a career-high nine points, which tied for the fourth most by a Ute in a single game in program history. He attempted 10 total shots, seven of which were on goal, and also collected a ground ball.
Through four games this season, Stines has tallied 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 total points, all of which are team highs. The 2026 ASUN Preseason Player of the Year leads the conference in points per game (5.75) and assists per game (2.75), while his 3.00 goals per game rank third in the league. His 23 points are the eighth-most nationally, and he is one of six players in the country with 23-plus points in four games.
Stines and the Utes return to Salt LAX City next week, facing off with Iona inside Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 28. The game is scheduled to begin at noon. Admission for all fans is free.
