Venters Breaks Event Record En Route to USATF 10km Championship

Former Utah cross country and track & field All-American Emily Venters captured the 2026 USATF 10km crown.
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Former Utah cross country and track & field All-American Emily Venters captured the 2026 USATF 10km Championship Saturday morning.

Venters jumped in front from the gun and never looked back, leading all runners wire-to-wire en route to breaking the all-time record at the event with a run of 31:09. The next closest finisher wouldn't cross the finish line for nearly a minute at 31:57.

The victory was on the heels of her recently taking second in the 5k race just 6 days earlier at Boulderthon. She also captured the USATF 8km Championship this past summer.
