OREM, Utah – The Utah cross country team had three top-10 finishers in its first race of the 2025 campaign at Scera on Friday at the UVU Invitational.
Millie Wilcox, a senior making her debut on the cross country side after spending the last three seasons on the sprints team, led the way for Utah on Friday. The Holladay native finished the 3-mile race with a time of 17:16.03 for third-overall in her first-ever cross country race to lead the Women of Utah.
Sophomore
Josie Fale was the next to cross the finish line, checking in at 17:34.86 with freshman
Cloe Ruth right behind her at 17:40.12 for eighth-overall in her collegiate debut.
Lauren Ayers just missed out on a top-10 finish, recording a time of 17:42.81 for 11th-overall while
Allie Bruce rounded out the top-five for Utah at 18:03.18 at 15th in her first collegiate cross country meet.
UP NEXT
Utah will host its lone home meet of the season earlier than usual on Friday, Sept. 12, at Sugar House Park. The Beehive Invitational will start at 10 a.m. (MST) for the women with the men following at approximately 10:45 a.m.
