FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – After receiving All-American honors on the one-meter springboard, the University of Utah dive's
Elias Petersen wrapped his second and final day of competition at the NCAA Championships with a top-25 finish on the three-meter springboard in Federal Way, Wash. at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center on Friday evening.
"We capped off an incredible season today and I'm really proud of how Elias competed," said head dive coach
Richard Marschner. "Another top-25 finish is incredible and he's one of only a handful of men to be top-25 on both 1m and 3m for the past two years."
Three-Meter King
- Junior Elias Petersen wrapped his six-dive list with a total score of 331.00. Averaging 55.17 points each round.
- His front 2 ½ with a double twist was awarded 59.50 points, the highest score he received on his three-meter list.
- His first and third round dives both earned 58.50 points, an inward 2 ½ pike and a back 2 ½ pike to help propel his overall total.
- Petersen ended with a total of 331.0, putting him in 25th-place.
"Our program is positioned to compete to be a top-10 diving team next year and the future couldn't be brighter for us," said Marschner.
