IRVING, Texas – Senior
Kathryn Grant has been named the Big 12 Women's Diver of the Week after logging three top-five finishes at the Texas Diving Invitational last weekend, the conference announced Thursday.
Grant placed fourth on the 1-meter and fifth on both the 3-meter and platform, the only woman in Austin to finish in the top five on all three events. She tied for first individually with 43 points on the weekend. The senior scored a 288.15 on the 1-meter, 298.25 on the 3-meter and 249.30 in her first platform competition of the season.
Grant has yet to place lower than fifth in any event so far this season.
This marks the second weekly award for the Utes this season and 12th since joining the Big 12 Conference prior to last season. Both Grant and sophomore Attila Bernatsky have earned weekly honors in 2025-26 after Bernatsky was named the Men's Diver of the Week last month. Nine of Utah's weekly awards across the last two seasons have been won by divers.
Grant and the Utah divers are back in action at the Big Al Invitational in Princeton, N.J., from Dec. 4-6. Utah swimming is currently competing at the SMU Invitational in Dallas.
