SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Gymnastics have added a trio of talented gymnasts that will continue the high standard of the Red Rocks' program when they hit the competition floor in the 2027 season.
The incoming signing class for the Red Rocks includes five-star Canadian National Team gymnast Gabrielle Black, along with four-star Ayla Miller, and rising star Madison Denlinger.
"This class is exceptional and full of power," said head coach
Carly Dockendorf. "Our fans won't be able to stay in their seats at the Huntsman Center when these three hit the floor with their incredible talent and energy."
Gabrielle Black | Milton, Ontario| Oakville
"Gabrielle brings a remarkable range of difficulty across all four events that make her routines both unique and exciting for collegiate gymnastics," said Dockendorf. "Her exceptional skill set, combined with her competitive drive and experience, will make an immediate impact on our program. Gabrielle's talent, dedication, and versatility will elevate our team and strengthen our pursuit for another national title."
Black has had a productive 2025 competitive season showcasing her ability as a top all-around competitor with improved skills on vault (two different 10.0 start values), bars, and floor (three E tumbling passes).
Recently, the Canadian National Team member competed in her first World Championships alongside six-time Olympian Ellie Black and is eyeing a run at the 2028 Olympics.
Back in February, Black earned an all-around silver (51.600) at Elite Canada with silver finishes on bars (12.800) and floor (13.000) along with a bronze finish on vault (13.100).
Â
Black's impressive rise in Elite Gymnastics continued later into the year with a stellar outing at the Canadian Championships where she took silver in the all-around (52.916), gold on beam (13.800), silver on vault (13.45), and bronze on floor (12.633).
Black's relentless work and superb competition results earned her five-star status according to College Gym News' ranking system on Sept. 2, 2025.
"I felt comfortable with the coaches and team, their consistency in always making the top four at nationals every year, and having high-level gymnasts and Olympians on the team," said Black. "My style is fierce! I can't be soft- I always have to be sharp, strong, and aggressive with clean execution and big skills. I'll make a great Red Rock because I can contribute to Utah's push to reclaim its championship legacy by putting up big scores, keeping the team positive, and adding to their consistency."
Ayla Miller | Big Lake, Minn. | Twin City Twisters
"Ayla will bring a remarkable level of consistency to our team and has the ability to be a key contributor across all four events," said coach Dockendorf. "Ayla has also demonstrated strong leadership abilities at her club, Twin City Twisters, and we have no doubt she will bring that level of enthusiasm and positive impact to our program."
Miller has impressed at the level 10 and junior elite level in 2025, posting scores that have given her a four-star ranking from College Gym News on Sept. 9, 2025.
At the 30
th Annual Northern Lights Classic, Miller took first in the all-around (38.250) after placing first on vault (9.65) and bars (9.700), while taking second on floor (9.600) and fifth on beam (9.300).
Miller also posted high scores in the Region 4 Level 6-10 Championships in April earning a second-place all-around finish (38.300) after taking second on bars (9.625), beam (9.55), and floor (9.600), and tying for first on vault (9.525).
Â
Miller is the daughter of Michael and Kara and one of four siblings (Aiden, Nolan, and Harlow).
Outside of gymnastics, Miller enjoys going for walks, being outdoors, wakeboarding, doing her nails, baking, and watching the sun set.
"The positive team atmosphere, genuine coaching staff, and the opportunity to compete in front of the amazing fans at Huntsman Center is what I wanted to be a part of," said Miller. "I pride myself in having a strong work ethic and being a positive role model for others. My gymnastics style is a fun and a powerful showcase of my skills. I will make a great Red Rock because I am a confident, and energetic gymnast that looks to inspire young gymnasts, and will provide excitement and energy to the Red Rocks Team. GO UTES!"
Madison Denlinger | Charlotte, N.C. | Pacific Reign
"Madi has a vibrant personality and infectious energy that we can't wait for our fans to experience on competition day," said coach Dockendorf. "With her dedication and determination to her craft, there are no limits to what Madi will do in college. She has her sights set on big goals, and we are anxious to watch her achieve them."
Denlinger has shown tremendous improvement in 2025 as a level 10 gymnast posting personal bests of 9.825 on vault, 9.525 on beam, 9.85 on floor, and 37.675 in the all-around.
The back half of 2025 competition is where Denlinger has come alive, earning back-to-back second place finishes at the Sweet Tea Classic (37.550) and the Georgia Level 6-10 State Championships (37.675), along with a fourth-place finish at the 2025 Region 8 Championships (37.350).
Â
Denlinger recently moved her training to Pacific Reign in Seattle, Wash. where she is hoping to qualify for Elite gymnastics this season.
Denlinger is the daughter of Candice and Donald Gaddy.
When she is not training her gymnastics, Denlinger enjoys reading, photography, making architectural models, journaling and crafting.
"From the moment I stepped on campus, I felt the heart of Utah Gymnastics — the family atmosphere, the passion, and the pride that come with being a Red Rock," said Denlinger. "My gymnastics is a mix of power and performance — I love pushing big skills, showing creativity, and performing routines that combine difficulty, expression, and emotion. I'm beyond excited to join this sisterhood, represent Utah with everything I have, and help carry on the incredible Red Rocks legacy!"
