Sixty-Six Utes Named to Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll

Academic year total of 149 Utah student-athletes for 2019-20
SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Athletics placed 66 student-athletes on the Pac-12 Conference's Spring Academic Honor Roll. During the 2019-20 academic year, 149 Utes were named to a Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll.
The Spring Academic Honor Roll includes student-athletes who participated in the Conference-sponsored sports of baseball, beach volleyball, golf, softball, men's tennis, women's tennis and track & field. A total of 871 student-athletes were recognized for their work in the classroom and athletic participation.
Track and field paced the Pac-12 with 27 honorees as Caitlin Faust, Sarah Feeny, Nicole Griffiths, Trina Moreno, Sarah Newton and Poppy Tank became three-time all-academic selections. Emma Christensen, Regan Crofts, Whitney Hessler, Astrid Lindgren, Ruby Jane Mathewson, Bella Williams and Cara Woolnough were chosen for a second time and joined by newcomers Aubrey Argyle, Skyler Blair, Anna Busatto, Emma Earl, Brooklyn James, Maya LeBar, Sara Leonard, Brooke Manson, Lauren O'Banion, Natalie Platil, Kennedy Powell, Sophie Ryan, Kolbi Sims and Taylor Watson
Women's tennis also led the Pac-12 academically with seven selections. Whitney Hekking became a three-time honoree and was joined by six newcomers, Emily Dush, Lindsay Hung, Anya Lamoreaux, Madeline Lamoreaux, Jasmine Rich and Madison Tattini.
Baseball placed 10 student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll with Brett Brocoff and Rykker Tom earning nods for a second time. Nick Caviglia, Jake Dahle, Braden DeBenedictis, Justin Kelly, Ian MacIver, Dustyn Schramm, Tyler Thompson and Trevor Wells were selected for a first time. Softball garnered eight selections as Alyssa Barrera became a three-time honoree. BreOnna Castaneda, Katie Faulk and Julia Noskin were tagged for a second time and joined by Ellessa Bonstrom, Haley Denning, Claire Feldman and Jordyn Gasper.
Beach Volleyball had five honorees with Kenzie Koerber and Olivia Teerlink selected for a second time. Mckenna Granato, Tiyana Hallums and Jessica Villela were also chosen. Men's Tennis had five selections as Slava Shainyan was honored for a third time, Russell Benkaim and Azat Hankuliyev were picked for a second time and were joined by debutantes Mathias Gavelin and Paul McCallie. Golf had four student-athletes chosen for a first time, Axel Einarsson, Peyton Hastings, Oscar Maxfield and Colton Tanner
