AUSTIN, Texas - The Utah swimming team completed its 2018-19 season at the NCAA Championships this afternoon.
Austin Phillips, fresh off a third-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships, swam the 100 free in 42.32, three-hundredths of a second off his top time that stands second in Utah history.
Liam O'Haimhirgin, who took fifth at the Pac-12 Championships, finished with a time of 43.22 seconds.
The two Utes were back for the 400 free relay with
Rodolfo Moreira and
Clay Stoddard. After setting a school record at the Pac-12 Championships in 2:52.36, Utah took 21
st with a time of 2:52.93 this afternoon.
The Utes had one swimmer, Jordan Anderson, compete at the NCAA Women's Championships, giving the Utah program eight student-athletes in Austin over the last two weeks. That is the largest contingent for Utah at a NCAA event since the 2013-14 season. Utah set 10 school records this fall across both men's and women's teams.
