SALT LAKE CITY--
Utah's annual Red Rocks Gymnastics Preview will take place on Friday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Admission to the popular event is free. The doors and the Kid Zone will open at 5:30 p.m. The Kid Zone will feature Santa Claus, face painting and a poster making station.
Seating for the preview is open and the first 2,500 fans in the doors will receive exclusive team trading cards. The gymnasts will be introduced with a fireworks display and will then split into two teams for an intra-squad competition. At the conclusion of the meet, they will sign autographed posters.
Season tickets will be on sale at the preview for as low as $40 and three-packs are also available. Tickets may also be purchased at UtahUtes.com or by calling 801-581-UTIX. Ticket sales are already approaching 6,700 and the Utes are on pace to beat last year's school record of 6,889 season ticketholders.
Fans at the preview will see a lot of familiar faces. For the first time in school history, the Utes return all 24 routines from the previous year's NCAA Championships. Not only is every member of the 2013 NCAA Championships lineup back, but so are two All-Americans who missed all or most of last year with injuries (Corrie Lothrop and Kailah Delaney), bringing the total number of All-Americans on this year's squad to a school record nine. The lone addition to the team is Baely Rowe. The freshman from Federal Way, Wash., was the 2013 Junior Olympic all-around champion.
The Utes will open the season on Jan. 11 against BYU, Southern Utah and Boise State at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center.
