On the last few minutes of game:
All throughout the game we were just trying to stay with them, and at the end, we knew this was our last opportunity to make a run for it. We were just fighting the whole game and it really showed in the last five minutes. We came up short this time, but if we keep playing like that, we could definitely beat any team we play.
On what can be taken from the game:
We just knew that today it was going to be a fight for the win and that is what we did. We came in and battled, we had that stretch where we were down by 10 or 11 points, but we kept fighting. And we know we have to play like that for the rest of the season and in our conference tournament if we want to win games.
Interim Head Coach Anthony Levrets
On the game:
I am really proud of my team, I like them a lot. We have been through adversity and challenges, from day one, big and small things. We have just been resilient to everything that has come along. There is no fight, there is no quit with this team. Every time I think there is a chance to give in, they just won't, they don't do it. And I love coaching them.
On the end of the game:
Two things. We didn't execute an out-of-bounds play that cost us a time out, and that hurt, and we didn't have a time out at the end of the game. You can talk about the last play of the game, but there is stuff all the way through games that could be. If you make little one play earlier, then the play at the end of the game is the one to win it, not to tie it.
On BYU:
They are bigger, they're older, and they're deeper. We are young; young and talented. But going into this season, we thought we had the deepest inside group that we have had here in a long time. Maybe not the best team overall, but we thought we were talented. I was really happy with how we did. They [BYU] were in control, there is no question, but we were just resilient. We just kept fighting like we have all year in everything we have done.
