Utah falls to 0-3 in the Pac-12 with the loss. The last time the Utes started the season with three conference losses was in 2002 while in the Mountain West Conference.
After recording only three turnovers in its first three games, Utah has committed 10 turnovers in its last two games.

Jon Hays went 18-for-30 for 199 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions.
John White led Utah in rushing with 17 carries for 85 yards. White scored his sixth touchdown of the season in the first quarter on a 30-yard run.
Eight different receivers caught passes for Utah.
Reggie Dunn led Utah with 55 receiving yards (four catches). Dunn also led the Utes with four kick returns for 93 yards. He was second on the team in rushing with 20 yards on three attempts.
Dallin Rogers scored his second touchdown of the season in the third quarter on a two-yard reception from Jon Hays. Rogers has five career touchdowns.
Ken Scott made his first career catch in the third quarter, a 46-yard reception.
Arizona State had 13 yards rushing in the first quarter and just 20 rushing yards at halftime. The Sun Devils were held to 74 rushing yards for the game. Utah has held three of its five opponents under 100 rushing yards.
Eric Rowe had a career-high 10 tackles.
Trevor Reilly had three tackles for loss totaling 29 yards (one sack for 10 yards). The 29 TFL yards are tied for the fourth-most in a game at Utah.
Attendance was 45,089.
