Utah extends its record to 8-0 with the victory (5-0 MWC). Utah is off to its third 8-0 start in the last seven years (the Utes finished 12-0 in 2004 and 13-0 in 2008).

Joe Phillips missed a 42-yard field goal in the fourth quarter, snapping a school-record streak of 18 makes. He is 9-for-10 this season.

Punter Sean Sellwood pinned Air Force at the 1-yard line with 28 seconds left. He had five punts for 167 yards (33.4 average).
