Utes Routs Air Force, 67-47

USAFA, Colo. - Taryn Wicijowski scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Utah women's basketball team to a 67-47 victory over Air Force on Saturday afternoon.
Wicijowski also had a team-high nine rebounds. Kalee Whipple was also in double-figure scoring with 13 points while Rachel Messer had a career-high 11 points.
The Utes took control late in the first half, going on a 13-2 run through the final 6:24 of the half to take a 31-16 lead into the locker room. Wicijowski had 12 points at halftime.
Utah held as much as a 25-point lead in the game and substituted freely in the final minutes.
Janita Badon had a solid afternoon with a career-high nine assists to go with seven rebounds and six points. The Utes had 23 assists on 25 total field goals. Halie Sawyer came away with eight rebounds.
The win snapped a two-game slide for the Utes.
Utah returns to the Huntsman Court on Wednesday, Jan.27, to face Wyoming at 7:00 p.m.
