-Freshman guard Shawn Glover made the game-winning shot at time expired, giving him five points for the game.
-Utah's victory marked the third win over a Top 25-ranked team under head coach Jim Boylen.
-Senior guard Luka Drca went 4-of-4 from the free throw line, extending his made free throw streak to 18 straight over the last four games. Drca finished the game with a season-high 16 points, grabbed three rebounds and made two steals.
-Utah trailed by 16 points at halftime. The Utes' comeback win marks the largest deficit overcome in a win under.
-Junior forward Jay Watkins returned from injury to score 12 points in his first action as a Ute (23 minutes).
-Senior forward Kim Tillie scored Utah's first six points of the second half. He finished with eight points and seven rebounds before fouling out with 3:45 left in the game.
-Utah went 0-11 from three-point range until Drca made back-to-back three's, Utah's only two in the game, with 8:24 and 7:33 left in the game.
-With a made free throw by Glover, Utah took a 51-50 lead with 4:55 left in the game. It was the Utes' first lead since going up 8-6 less than five minutes into the game.
