Vote for Zane for the Lowe's Senior Class Award
SALT LAKE CITY - Utah offensive tackle Zane Beadles has been named a second-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American. The team is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Beadles, who is majoring in mechanical engineering, holds a 3.535 grade point average. Scheduled to graduate in December, he is a finalist for the Lowe's Senior Class Award and the Wuerffel Trophy.
An All-America candidate and a two-time all-Mountain West Conference selection (first team in 2008), Beadles is a four-year starter for the Utes. This season, the left tackle has won 604 of 692 total plays for a team-best 87% overall grade. He has 21 cuts and 11 pancake blocks.
Individuals are selected through voting by CoSIDA, a 2,000-member organization consisting of sports public relations professionals for colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
