RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - The University of Utah finished the first two rounds of competition at the Farms Collegiate tied for 12th place with Colorado State. The Utes turned in rounds of 313 and 297 to end play at 35-over-par. Dustin Pimm led the team in the opening rounds, posting rounds of 75 and 72 to finish at three-over-par and tied for 15th place.
"We're still struggling," said head coach Randall McCracken. "We played about as bad as we could play today. This golf course was tough for us. Hopefully we can rectify whatever's wrong."
Tournament play concludes Tuesday with an 18-hole round.
