SALT LAKE CITY -- University of Utah sophomore punter/placekicker Louie Sakoda earned Honorable Mention Sophomore All-America honors from CollegeFootballNews.com recently. The website is honoring All-America teams from each class for the 2006 college football season.
Sakoda was honored as a punter. He placed 50 percent (28-of-56) of his punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line. Sakoda also averaged 43.9 yards per punt and helped lead Utah to a No. 1 ranking in net punting (41.39 yards per punt).
