Ute Gymnastics Recruit Wins USA Junior Olympics Crowns

SALT LAKE CITY -
University of Utah gymnastics signee Kristina Baskett captured the all around title at the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Championships held last weekend in Ontario, Calif. Baskett, who will join the Ute team in August, also won the vault and floor exercise events.
From Normandy Park, Wash., Baskett is coached by Brad Loan at Puget Sound Gymnastics in Tacoma. She is the seventh national champion he has coached.
Also joining the Ute team next fall is former USA national team member Nina Kim of Houston.
