On shooting well: "We need to shoot the ball well and stay consistent if we are going to be competitive. We are not going to get a lot of power points, but our kids stepped up and shot well tonight. They (Southern Utah) zoned us most of the game, but we moved the ball well and got some good looks."
On Kim Smith's streak of 50 games with double figures: "Kim Smith had a phenomenal game once again. She really gets after it and is very tough. She had five assists, six steals and no turnovers. Kim always has a good stat line. She is always consistent and she was again tonight."
Utah Senior Guard Julie Larsen
On Friday night's win: "We were moving the ball well tonight and looking for the open shots. We have a lot to work on with our defense. We are starting to play better and getting more stops. We try not to depend on three-pointers, but it opens up the lanes if we keep hitting our shots."
On conference play getting started: "Our conference is going to be tough this season and we are going to have to come out and play every night to be successful."
