Quoting Utah's Kim Smith
On the team's quick start: "We came out and our shots were all falling. I mean, that is what's going to happen. We have a team that can shoot and we're going to put points on the board really fast."
On her double-double: "I'm just doing whatever it takes to help our team win."
Quoting Utah Head Coach Elaine Elliott
On the quick start: "Well it's nice to start quickly, but then we have to understand that you're not going to do that for 40 minutes. Doing that early should force them out. Then we should start getting to the rim instead of falling in love with a shot the first time you touch the ball. So that lesson is still out there for us."
On the overall performance: "We had our pushes and our ebbs and our flows and we'll work through those. What we're after is to work toward a better consistency and toward better execution. I feel that we can become better and have a lot ahead of us."
LMU Head Coach Julie Wilhoit
On the game: "It's a great experience coming in here. Last time we were here we came away with a win and we believed all the way through that we could come in here and compete with this great program and this great team. There were many great moments for us as a team in this game that we're going to build on. We put together a very competitive schedule that included Utah for the purpose of preparing for our conference season and our conference championship. Tonight's game showed me that we have great things to build on. It was a great effort from Utah. I hope they have a fabulous season."
