Second-Annual Utah Gymnastics Sneak Peek Is Friday

SALT LAKE CITY -
The second-annual Utah gymnastics Sneak Peek, which features team introductions, gymnastics demonstrations, free team posters and autograph signing, will be held Friday starting at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. for those who wish to watch warm-ups. Admission and parking are free. Last year's Sneak Peek drew 3,000 spectators.
This will be the first opportunity for fans to meet the new Ute recruits--among them 2002 World Balance Beam champion Ashley Postell. Postell is one of several former U.S. National Team members on the 2004 Ute team, which also boasts national team members from Germany, South Africa and Hungary.
Season tickets will be on sale at the event and open seats will be marked with balloons. Tickets are available now online at www.UtahUtes.com or by phone at 801-581-UTIX. This year's home schedule features five teams that competed at the 2004 NCAA Championships, including a Jan. 7 home opener against two-time defending champion UCLA. Other NCAA qualifiers visiting the Huntsman Center this year are Michigan, Stanford, Arizona State and Florida. Regional powers Washington, California and Brigham Young round out Utah's home slate.
