COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah Senior Marta Stepanczuk was named MWC Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 24, 2004 after her performance at the 2004 Indiana Invitational. This is the second career honor for Stepanczuk.
The Bialystok, Poland, native helped the Utes to a third-place finish at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., last weekend. She posted a time of 4:54.02 in the 500-yard freestyle, which set a new Utah school record and is the fifth fastest time in MWC history. She also placed second in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:44.94 which is the top time in the conference this season.
The Utes take a break from competition before returning to action at the University of Tampa Relays on Jan. 6, 2005.
