NEXT UP:
The University of Utah swimming and diving teams head to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. for their holiday training on Dec. 12-23. While there the team will face Florida Atlantic on Dec. 20 at the Fort Lauderdale Aquatics Center.
UTE NOTES:
The Utah women remain on top of the conference as they are 3-0 (2-0 MWC), while the men are tied for the lead with 20th ranked BYU at 1-0 in MWC competition. Utah is 2-0 overall.
Ute freshman diver, Harley Davis was awarded the Mountain West Conference Diver of the Week on Nov. 26 for his performance against Denver. The award was the second time this season that Davis has been honored by the conference.
The Utes had an option to send some of their athletes to the U.S. Open on Dec. 4-6, but, choose not to due to a conflict with finals week.
SCOUTING FLORIDA ATLANTIC:
Last season Utah also traveled to Florida Atlantic. In the meet, Utah was victorious on both the men's and women's front. The men won 143-120, while the women added a 162-126 victory.
LOOKING BACK AT DENVER:
The men beat Denver 184-110 on Nov. 22. Leading the team was Cody Rempfer, winning two events including setting a pool record in both the 400 IM with a time of 4:05.11, along with the 200 medley relay. The 200 medley relay team of Rempfer, Andrew Cole, Evan Castro and Jonathan Larsen finished with a time of 1:33.99.
On the women's side, the Utes beat the Pioneers 160-129. Tessa Greegor finished on top in three events, winning the 200 medley relay (1:47.99), 100 breast (1:05.77) and 200 breast (2:26.54).

"It will be a good opportunity for our team to travel to Florida to train over the holidays. It is good for our team to get a chance to see competition that we would otherwise not see."
