Utah senior offensive lineman Jordan Gross, honored as an Outland Trophy finalist on Dec. 12 in Orlando at the Home Depot College Football Awards banquet, was also announced as a member of the Walter Camp All-America team. He will be formally recognized for making the Walter Camp team at the organization's national awards banquet on Feb. 8, 2003 at the Yale University Commons in New Haven.
The Walter Camp All-America team is chosen by the head coaches and sports information directors of the nation's NCAA I-A schools. Walter Camp, the "Father of American football," selected the first All-America team in 1889. The Walter Camp Football Foundation has been selecting an All-America team annually since its formation in 1967.
Gross was previously named a Football Writers (FWAA) and CNNSI.com first-team All-American and was also selected to the all-Mountain West Conference team.
